£850 · 90-minute assessment appointment. Your clinician explores your history, symptoms, daily functioning and relevant supporting information.

ADHD Assessments for Young People · Ages 7–17

£950 · 90-minute assessment appointment. We consider development, wellbeing, symptoms and everyday functioning, alongside relevant supporting information.

We involve the young person in decisions. Consent and parent or carer involvement reflect their age, understanding, circumstances and applicable requirements. Includes a written report and discussion of findings and next steps, whether or not ADHD is diagnosed. Further information or assessment may be needed before a conclusion is reached; any additional costs are explained before you decide.

An assessment does not guarantee an ADHD diagnosis or medication.

Please contact us first if you have complex health needs

Before booking or paying, please contact us if you have cardiovascular concerns, significant kidney disease, complex mental health needs, or relevant specialist care.

These circumstances do not automatically exclude you. We review suitability individually and may need further information or advice from your existing care team. We may recommend further checks, defer or decline care, or offer assessment without medication treatment. We explain the reasons and available next steps.

Tell us about your health conditions, specialist care, and all medicines, supplements and non-prescribed substances you use. Tell us promptly about changes during your care.

Please leave medical reports, identity documents and detailed health information out of the general enquiry form. We explain how to provide information securely.

Ask About Suitability

Our Assessment Pathway

1. Enquire

Tell us what you need. We check whether our service is suitable.

2. Confirm your booking

We offer an appointment and explain prices. Payment and written confirmation secure the agreed arrangements.

3. Assessment and next steps

We discuss findings and appropriate options. A diagnosis or medication is not guaranteed.

Read the full assessment pathway

Step 1: Request an Assessment

Complete our assessment enquiry form or email info@adhdinsync.co.uk. You can enquire for yourself or a young person aged 7–17. We check suitability and explain any further information required. You do not need to be certain that you have ADHD before getting in touch.

Step 2: Arrange and Confirm Your Booking

If our service is suitable, we offer an available virtual appointment and explain the fee, inclusions and booking terms. If you decide to proceed, we provide payment instructions.

Your appointment is confirmed once payment has been received and we have confirmed the agreed appointment arrangements in writing. We then explain how to complete your preparation forms.

Step 3: Assessment and Next Steps

Your history and daily life

Your clinician explores your history, symptoms, daily functioning and supporting information, considering other explanations and coexisting conditions.

Questionnaires are one part

Questionnaires support assessment; they do not establish a diagnosis on their own.

Understanding your findings

You receive a written report and discussion of findings, whether or not ADHD is diagnosed. If further information is needed before a conclusion, your clinician explains the next steps.

Discussing your next steps

If ADHD is diagnosed, we discuss appropriate treatment options and your preferences. Titration and ongoing care are available where clinically appropriate, with prices explained before you decide.

We review treatment response, side effects and relevant physical health measurements, with medication adjustments where appropriate. Pharmacy medication costs are separate.

  • Brief questions about your agreed plan.
  • Additional consultations are priced before you agree.

Support, prescriptions and additional fees — full details

Support between appointments

Routine monitoring updates and brief questions about your agreed treatment plan are included during the 12-week package. This does not include unlimited consultations, continuous monitoring or immediate clinician access.

If an additional consultation is needed, we explain its purpose and fee before you agree. Five scheduled appointments do not cap clinically necessary monitoring.

Prescription corrections and shortage-related replacements

We correct prescription errors made by ADHDinSYNC without charge. These corrections do not count towards your package’s five-prescription allowance.

During your titration package, we also provide necessary replacement prescription writing without charge where your clinician confirms that the prescribed medicine cannot reasonably be obtained because of a supply shortage. This does not count towards the five-prescription allowance.

Before issuing a replacement, we may require confirmation from the pharmacy and must establish whether the original prescription has been dispensed, partly dispensed or remains unused. We explain any cancellation or return arrangements needed to prevent duplicate supply.

This provision covers necessary prescription rewriting. It does not provide additional medication supplies, patient-requested changes of pharmacy or brand for convenience, or replacement of lost, damaged or expired prescriptions. We consider those requests individually and explain any applicable charge before you agree.

If a shortage requires a different medicine or a change to your treatment plan, your clinician first assesses what is appropriate. Any additional consultation outside your package is explained and priced before you agree. Pharmacy medication and delivery costs remain separate.

Prescriptions beyond your package allowance

Beyond the five included prescriptions, a further separate prescription costs £50 where your clinician considers it safe and appropriate to issue without an appointment. If an additional titration review is needed, the £150 review fee includes one prescription where clinically appropriate; there is no additional £50 fee for that prescription. Approved free corrections and shortage-related replacements do not count towards the five-prescription allowance. We explain and agree any additional charge before providing the service. Payment does not guarantee prescribing.

Preparing for your first medication appointment

Records and forms

Have the requested information ready for your clinician’s review.

Health checks

Provide the measurements and checks requested for safe prescribing. Extra investigations are needed only when clinically indicated.

Discuss and agree

Use the 45-minute appointment to discuss treatment. Prescribing depends on completed checks and clinical suitability.

Prescribing is not guaranteed. Necessary safety checks must be complete. ECGs and specialist investigations are requested only when clinically indicated. External provider charges are separate.

Preparation, home readings and external checks — full details

Before your 45-minute initiation appointment, we explain which records, preparation forms and health measurements must be ready so your clinician can review them. The appointment is used to discuss medication options, benefits, risks and monitoring, and agree a treatment plan.

Everyone starting medication has a baseline health assessment, including a cardiovascular assessment. A prescription may be issued at the appointment when clinically appropriate and the necessary checks are complete. Prescribing at that appointment is not guaranteed; we cannot prescribe without sufficient information to do so safely.

Additional examinations, investigations such as ECGs, or specialist referrals are requested only when clinically indicated. An ECG is not routinely required for everyone.

Taking your health measurements at home

Please obtain a suitable home blood-pressure monitor. We send instructions for taking and submitting your blood pressure, pulse and other requested health measurements. Your clinician reviews the readings alongside your records and current health information. If readings raise concerns or their accuracy is uncertain, we may ask you to have them checked at a pharmacy or GP practice. External provider charges, where applicable, are separate; GP availability and NHS funding cannot be guaranteed.

If preparation is missing

We explain which records, monitoring readings and health information are needed before your 45-minute medication appointment, and check readiness beforehand. Please tell us promptly if you cannot provide something so that we can help or discuss rearrangement.

If required information is missing, we contact you and rearrange early where necessary. If the appointment goes ahead, your clinician may use it to review available information and agree next steps, but prescribing may be deferred until the necessary safety checks are complete.

Any charge for care delivered or late rearrangement is considered under the appointment and cancellation terms disclosed before booking, taking your circumstances and reasonable adjustments into account. Missing preparation does not automatically forfeit the £800 package. We explain any effect on your remaining appointments and any further paid appointment before you agree, without charging twice for the same care or loss.

There is no patient charge for rearrangement caused by ADHDinSYNC’s own error or delay. We preserve your remaining package care and explain the revised arrangements.

If external checks are needed

We explain why and provide an appropriate written request or referral. You arrange the external appointment and provide findings through the secure process we explain. External provider charges are separate from ADHDinSYNC prices and paid by you. GP availability and NHS funding cannot be guaranteed.

Your ADHDinSYNC clinician reviews the findings before deciding whether prescribing can proceed. A test result or specialist opinion does not automatically mean medication will be suitable.

If care pauses

  • Clinician-directed pauses preserve unused package care.
  • ADHDinSYNC delays extend remaining care without an extension fee.
  • Unused care is not automatically forfeited at week 12.

If more care is needed

  • A stable dose within 12 weeks is not guaranteed.
  • Additional titration reviews cost £150, with one prescription where appropriate.
  • Further paid care is explained before agreement.

If preparation is missing

  • Tell us promptly if records or readings are unavailable.
  • Prescribing may be deferred until checks are complete.
  • Missing preparation does not automatically forfeit the £800 package.
Pauses, delays and longer titration — full details

If titration takes longer

If your clinician directs a treatment pause, we preserve unused package care and extend the package by the agreed pause without an extension fee. If ADHDinSYNC causes a delay, we preserve remaining appointments and extend the package without an extension fee. Unused care is not automatically forfeited at week 12. Full cancellation, rearrangement and refund arrangements are explained in our Booking Terms.

Some people need slower dose changes, a medication change, additional checks or further assessment. Treatment interruptions or medication shortages may also extend titration. A stable dose within 12 weeks is not guaranteed, and reaching week 12 does not automatically trigger a charge.

Additional titration reviews cost £150 each, including one prescription where clinically appropriate following that review. Pharmacy costs are separate. We explain further paid reviews and their cost before you agree.

Contact between appointments

Maria checks incoming messages Monday–Friday, excluding bank holidays, and reviews administrative and clinical queries. Messages are not monitored continuously, and a same-day clinical reply is not guaranteed. The on-screen enquiry confirmation confirms submission only; it does not mean a clinician has reviewed your message.

Your titration package includes requested monitoring updates and brief questions about your agreed treatment plan. It does not include unlimited consultations or immediate clinician access. If you need an additional consultation outside the package, we explain the fee before you agree. Please keep routine questions about the same issue in one message thread, and tell us about new or worsening symptoms.

Alternative prescriber cover is not currently available. We explain any temporary changes to contact arrangements affecting your care. If cover is arranged in future, we will confirm the arrangements before you rely on them; prescribing will remain subject to appropriate clinical information and safety checks. Please do not rely on email or wait for a reply if you need urgent medical help; use your local urgent or emergency healthcare service.

Already diagnosed with ADHD?

If another UK provider diagnosed you, contact us before booking. An existing diagnosis does not automatically mean we can take over care or prescribe.

  1. Get in touch. We explain how to provide your report securely.
  2. Tell us about your current care. We may need your GP summary, recent clinic letters, medication details and relevant specialist-care information.
  3. We review and explain the next step. We may offer an appointment, request information, recommend reassessment or explain why our service is not suitable.

No separate fee applies to the initial document review. Further assessment and costs are explained before you decide. Medication is offered only after necessary clinical and safety checks and where clinically appropriate.

Diagnosed outside the UK?

Please contact us before booking. We review overseas ADHD diagnoses individually, including the report, supporting information and your current clinical needs. Reassessment is requested where needed; it is not automatic solely because your diagnosis was made outside the UK. We explain any further assessment and its cost before you decide. Acceptance for care or prescribing is not guaranteed.

Do not send medical reports or identity documents through the general enquiry form.

Ask About Transferring Care

Working with your existing care team

Relevant information from your GP or other clinicians may be needed to assess suitability and provide safe care. We explain what information is needed, why and how it will be shared. We seek consent where required and handle information in accordance with our Privacy Notice and applicable confidentiality obligations.

Where information must be shared without consent, we follow applicable requirements and explain this where appropriate. For young people, confidentiality, consent and parent or carer involvement reflect age, understanding, circumstances and applicable requirements.

Specialist advice informs assessment; the prescribing decision remains with your ADHDinSYNC clinician. We cannot start or continue prescribing without sufficient information to do so safely. If information cannot be obtained, we explain the implications and next steps.

Please do not stop or change existing medication without advice from the clinician responsible for it.

Ongoing Care and Shared Care

The end-of-titration review does not automatically mean discharge or transfer to your GP. If further titration is needed, we explain next steps and additional charges before you agree.

Before titration starts, we discuss future prescribing, monitoring and costs. We proceed only when medication is clinically appropriate and either your GP has agreed in principle to shared care once you are stable, or you understand and agree to the costs of continuing privately.

Shared care requires your GP’s agreement and is not guaranteed. Agreement may change. If declined or withdrawn, we can discuss continued private prescribing and monitoring where clinically appropriate.

Ongoing-care prices

  • Full medication review: £200
  • Focused additional medication review: £150

Review types, inclusions and repeat prescriptions — full details

Full medication review — £200 · 30 minutes

A comprehensive review of treatment benefits, side effects, daily functioning, relevant physical and mental health, monitoring and the ongoing care plan. Used for planned comprehensive reviews, including the annual medication review, or when a broader reassessment is needed.

Focused additional medication review — £150 · 20 minutes

An additional appointment addressing a specific treatment issue where your clinician considers a focused review sufficient. It does not replace a comprehensive review when one is due or clinically needed.

Your clinician recommends the review according to your needs. We explain its purpose and fee before booking. One prescription is included where clinically appropriate; pharmacy medication costs are separate. Care already included in your titration package is not charged again.

If an unexpected concern requires further assessment, we explain the next steps and agree any additional paid appointment. We do not automatically upgrade your appointment or add an undisclosed charge.

Review frequency and monitoring reflect your clinical needs and any agreed shared-care arrangements. Ongoing care is separate from the initial titration package.

A separate repeat prescription without an appointment costs £50 where clinically appropriate. The same prescription included in a paid review does not also attract a separate fee.
